The CHORUS experiment is searching for ν µ → ν τ oscillations using an 800 kg emulsion target and an electronic detector. Two of four years of running have been completed. The experiment will probe small mixing angles for ∆m 2 > 10 eV 2 , at least one order of magnitude better than previous limits.
